        Bisnakandi is one of the outstanding geographical tourist places between the India and Bangladesh border. It is a new attraction to Sylhet. It's an area full of different types of rocks and water comes from a fountain flows over it. The waters are pure and a place is eye treating.

Bisnakandi has a lot of small and large stone creations. Stone is spread around it that gives the impression that the whole area is a stone bed. Travelers have to walk carefully through countless rocks of Piyain River. It is a landscape beauty among gardens and hills. Bisnakandi is a village. It is located in the Rustompur union of Guainghat Upazila.

Many steps of the Khasia hills on the Bangladesh-India border have come from both sides and met at one point. And at the foot of the hill is the high waterfall of Meghalaya, India. Flowing from above is a high fall. In the rainy season the dark clouds hugging the mountain.  Huge stones deposited and excavated in Bisanakandi come down with the current flowing from the top of the hill.

And if you lean your body in the clear water, you will get peace of mind. This peace will drag you to Bisnakandi again and again. It is as if Bisnakandi has spread natural magic by mixing mountains, rocks, rivers, and springs.

Bisnakandi is perfect for traveling at any time. However, the rainy season is the ideal time to visit Bisnakandi. Due to the abundance of water flowing around, the real beauty of Bisnakandi can be seen at this time. There may be some difficulty in lifting stones here at other times of the year. At other times of the year, there may be some difficulty in lifting stones here.

Way to go to Bisnakandi:

Wherever you live in the country, you must first come to Sylhet district town to go to Bisnakandi.

How to reach Sylhet from Dhaka:

 You can go to Sylhet by bus or train or by plane from Dhaka. AC buses of Green Line, Shyamoli, Saudia, S Alam, and ENA Paribahan travel from Fakirapul, Saidabad, and Mohakhali bus stations. AC bus fare is usually between TK 800 to TK 1200. You will also get non-AC buses of Shyamoli, Hanif, ENA, Unique Paribahan from Dhaka to Sylhet at TK 400 to TK 600 per person.

To travel from Dhaka to Sylhet by train, you can choose Upoban, Jayantika, Parabat, or Kalni Express train from Kamalapur or Airport Railway Station as your travel companion. It will take 6-7 hours to go by train.

You can choose the sky route to go from Dhaka in the fastest time and with ease. Biman Bangladesh, Regent Air, United Air, Novo Air, US Bangla Biman depart from Shahjalal International Airport for Sylhet every day. The ticket price from Dhaka to Sylhet is TK 3200-TK 7200.




How to reach Sylhet from Chittagong:

Sylhet can be reached by bus or train from Chittagong. If you want to go by train from Chittagong, two trains called Paharika or Udayan Express travel 6 days a week.

Bisnakandi from Sylhet:

To go to Bisnakandi, you have to take local CNG from Amberkhana CNG station in Sylhet to reach Hadarpar at Tk 140-160 per person. If you take CNG reserve for the whole day, the rent will usually be around TK 1000-TK 1500. You have to take a boat from Hadarpar to Bisnakandi. Since Bisnakandi, Bisnakandi and Bisnakandi are side by side, you can arrange a boat to go around altogether. Boat rental can cost TK 800-TK 1500. It can cost Tk 2,500 to rent a big trawler. The water in the river is much less in winter and before the rainy season. In that case, you can reach Bisnakandi to walk.

  1. Travel in groups to reduce costs.
  2. If you want, you can visit Bisnakandi in one day by seeing Ratargul.
  3. Bargain well to rent boats and CNG.
  4. Be careful when getting into the water in Bisnakandi.
  5. Keep in mind During the rainy season, some parts of Bisnakandi have less water but it flows very fast.
  6. In some places, there is a Deep trench due to stone lifting. So take advice before going anywhere.
  7. Bisnakandi is a stone quarry, Rocks under its water. So be extra careful while walking.
  8. Be polite to the locals.
